Growing up I have always been surrounded by art, which inspired me to become an artist. My
mother is an artist so I have been involved in art since I was very young. I spent my formative years in South Texas and the
Big Island of Hawaii. Since I have been lucky enough to live near the beach most of my life, my artwork reflects the vibrant
and tropical colors of my environment. Although I have strong interests in photography, jewelry, and printmaking, my
passion is painting. Since graduating from the Art Institute of Houston with an associates in Computer Animation, the
experience has infused my painting style with a comic flair. I have combined my background in cartoons and graphics
with my painting. Art is a way to release your creative style. After continuing my education at the University
of Texas at Brownsville, I graduated with a bachelors degree in Studio Art.
